Breaking News: Arsenal Secures Declan Rice for British Record £105m, Medical Scheduled For This Week

Declan Rice gets the green light to have medical with Arsenal

West Ham United and Arsenal have reached a comprehensive agreement on the payment structure for Declan Rice's transfer, amounting to a staggering British Record £105 million. The talented England midfielder has been granted permission to undergo a medical and finalize personal terms with Arsenal, marking a momentous move across to the reed side of north London.

Benchviews Sport Tv reported that the clubs had successfully settled on the transfer fee of £105 million and were in negotiations regarding the payment terms. Now, with the agreement in place, Rice is set to undergo a medical evaluation, paving the way for a Premier League record-breaking fee for a British player.

After Arsenal improved their bid to £100 million plus an additional £5 million in add-ons, Manchester City withdrew from the race to sign Rice. Initially, City had matched Arsenal's £90 million proposal, offering a larger sum upfront, but both bids were ultimately rejected. Seizing the opportunity, Arsenal made an enhanced offer last Tuesday evening to secure their manager Mikel Arteta's primary target for the summer.

Although Rice had a year remaining on his West Ham contract, club chairman David Sullivan indicated that he anticipated the talented England international to have played his final game for the club following their Europa Conference League triumph.

Sullivan stated that Rice had expressed a desire to move on.

Since his debut in 2017, Rice has made an impressive 245 appearances for West Ham, establishing himself as a key player in their lineup.
