Lionel Messi's time at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) was a rollercoaster ride, especially when it came to his relationship with the fans. The Argentine superstar faced boos from the crowd at the end of both his seasons in the French capital. Now, Messi has opted for a move to join Inter Miami, in the MLS .

During an interview with BeIn Sports, Messi opened up about his experience in Paris, his bond with the fans, and how he adjusted to life in the French city. He expressed that he chose PSG because he liked the club and already had many friends there, whether from his international duty or previous experiences. He believed that adapting to life in Paris would be easier than other places. However, he admitted that the adaptation process was challenging.

"It was harder than I expected, even though I knew some people in the dressing room... it was tough to adapt to this change," Messi revealed. In addition to being in a new environment, he emphasized that he joined the team late, without any pre-season preparation.

In a previous interview where he announced his departure, Messi also discussed the difficulties his family faced in adapting to a new country and city. He described the past two years as very challenging.

The teaser video of the interview showcased how Messi initially enjoyed the support of the fans, but over time, things changed.

He mentioned a fracture with a significant portion of the Parisian fans, noting that a majority treated him well at the start. However, he acknowledged that this shift in treatment was not unique to him but had also happened to Neymar and Kylian Mbappé. Messi considered it to be "their way of doing things."

As he bids farewell, Messi expressed his desire to cherish the memories of those who supported him from the beginning, deeming everything else as trivial. The full interview is set to shed more light on his thoughts and experiences during his time at PSG.
