Roberto Firmino has officially joined Al-Alhi in the Saudi Pro League after his departure from Liverpool. The Brazilian forward has signed a three-year contract with the club, earning £17.1m per year until June 2026.
Firmino's move to Saudi Arabia follows the footsteps of other notable players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, and Edouard Mendy. In fact, Firmino will reunite with Mendy at Al-Ahli, as the goalkeeper also transferred from Chelsea.
Having spent eight successful years at Liverpool, Firmino contributed 13 goals in 35 appearances last season.
His time with the Reds saw him win various titles including the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, and Club World Cup.
Firmino is set to link up with his new club Al-Ahli as they continue to prepare for the new Saudi Pro League 2023/24 season.
