Saudi Pro League want Manchester City star Bernardo Silva

Bernardo Silva is the latest name to be Linked with move to Saudi Pro League, Silva is on the list of Barcelona and PSG for this summer.

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has emerged as the latest prominent European player to be associated with a potential transfer to the Saudi Pro League. While Paris Saint-Germain seemed like likely suitors for the versatile 28-year-old, The Athletic reports have indicated significant interest from Saudi clubs.

Barcelona has also been mentioned as a possible destination for Silva. Talks with his agent Jorge Mendes have reportedly taken place, including discussions on financial terms. However, it is anticipated that Silva will decline the opportunity to move to the Middle East. Should Silva opt for a move to Saudi Arabia, he would join the ranks of high-profile stars such as Karim Benzema, N'golo Kante, and several others who have made the switch to the Saudi Pro League this summer. The trend of European players moving to the Gulf was seemingly triggered by Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Al Nassr towards the end of the previous year.

As for Silva's immediate future, he is under contract with Manchester City until June 2025, alleviating any immediate pressure to depart. While the playmaker has rejected previous transfer opportunities in recent summers, 2023 may present a turning point in his decision-making.
